Keeping financial crime out of OPM protects our customers and the financial system. This statement explains how we do it.
1.Our commitment
GRID D EOOD is committed to preventing OPM from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud or sanctions evasion. We apply the requirements of the EU anti-money laundering framework and of Bulgarian law, including the Measures Against Money Laundering Act.
2.Knowing our customers
Before opening an account, and throughout our relationship, we:
- verify the identity of every customer, and for business clients the identity of directors and ultimate beneficial owners;
- ask about the purpose of the account and the expected source of funds;
- check customers against sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEP) lists;
- apply enhanced checks where the risk is higher, and keep customer information up to date.
3.Monitoring and reporting
We monitor transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activity. Where required by law, we report suspicious activity to the Financial Intelligence Directorate of the State Agency for National Security (SANS) and may freeze or refuse transactions. We are not allowed to tell a customer when a report has been made.
4.Record keeping
We keep customer due diligence documents and transaction records for 5 years after the end of the business relationship, or longer where the law requires.
5.What we ask of you
Please give us accurate, up-to-date information and answer our questions promptly — they help keep OPM safe for everyone. We may be unable to open an account or process a payment until our checks are complete.
